Our Story

Veronica's Story: A Legacy of Hospitality

First Generation of Hospitality
My inspiration started at a young age in the town of Turtle Creek, a small suburb on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for its manufacturing heritage and as the birthplace of the internationally recognized 1960s harmony-pop vocal group, The Vogues. Turtle Creek also happens to be the hometown of my loving grandparents, Barbara Aiello and Walter (Porky) Coll, who originally inspired my passion for hospitality by instilling in me a culture of home-cooked meals, a loving atmosphere, and strong family values.

Second Generation of Hospitality:
My father, Ronald Coll, nurtured his childhood love for food and family, combining it with an unstoppable work ethic. He took on jobs in bars and restaurants to finance his college education. It was in one of those establishments that he met my mom, Kathy. Their time in the restaurant industry created countless cherished memories, ultimately inspiring my sister Cassondra and me to continue this passion. After graduating from college, my father spent eight more years in the restaurant industry, managing local family restaurants and franchises before transitioning to a career in technology as well as accounting, and my mother continued her passion for hospitality in the travel industry.

Third Generation of Hospitality

Welcome to Veronica’s on Cavitt, where the legacy continues with our motto: “Where hospitality warms your heart and food nourishes your soul.” Our menu showcases the diverse flavors we’ve encountered on our journeys, infused with secret recipes passed down from the Aiello family, particularly those taught to my dad by his mother, Nanny. We remain dedicated to offering high-quality, fresh food made with those cherished secret ingredients every day. Our dishes blend beloved family recipes with flavors inspired by our life experiences.

Warm regards,
